On July 8, 2024, the PHC pipe pile foundation of the track beam of the first phase of the Xinjiwan Operation Area of the New Port Area of Zhaoqing Port (hereinafter referred to as "this project") was completed, marking that all PHC pipe pile foundation construction of this project, including production and auxiliary buildings and track beams, has been completed.

This project has newly built 2 sets of track beams, both with a length of 293.4m. The track beam adopts cast-in-place reinforced concrete track beam, with a cross-section of "丄" type beam, a beam height of 2.0m, a beam top width of 1.0m, and a beam bottom width of 1.4m. Below the track beam is a PHC pipe pile foundation with a diameter of 0.8m, a concrete strength grade of C80, a pile foundation spacing of 5.0m, and a pile length ranging from 31m to 46m, with a total of 240 piles. The PHC pipe piles are driven into the backfill soil after the soft foundation treatment is completed by the vacuum combined loading preloading process in the early stage, and finally driven into the medium-weathered muddy siltstone layer.

The completion of all PHC pipe pile foundation construction in this project marks that the land area has fully entered the structural construction stage, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent yard and road, production auxiliary and building construction.
According to the relevant person in charge of the construction unit of this project, Zhaoqing Jiaotou Yanyang Port Co., Ltd., this project includes three 3,000-ton multi-purpose berths and related supporting facilities and equipment (hydraulic structures are designed according to 5,000 tons), berth length 354m, design throughput capacity 3.1 million tons/year, including 100,000 TEU containers/year, and a total land area of 132,000 square meters. It is equipped with road yards, production auxiliary areas and office and living auxiliary areas, including a comprehensive office building, a canteen and dormitory building, grain warehouses, etc.
Next, Zhaoqing Port Company will intensify its efforts to promote the construction of Zhaoqing Port Terminal Project, and strive to build Zhaoqing Port into a 100 million-ton port by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", further meet the new needs of Zhaoqing's high-quality economic development and hinterland economic and social development, and provide strong guarantees for local logistics and transportation and economic development.
