Weizhen Town, under the jurisdiction of Sihui City, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, is located in the north of Sihui City, bordering Qingxin District in the northeast, Guangning County in the northwest, and Luoyuan Town and Didou Town in the southeast. The total area of the jurisdiction is 64.05 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Weizhen Town was 17,006.
The name Weizhen first came to be known during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. In the first year of the Longqing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1567), people with the surnames Huang, Luo, Xu, and Hu set up a market under Huangdongkeng Echou to conduct trade, which was called Eyong Market. In the second year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1797), it was renamed Longqing City. In April 1961, Weizhen People's Commune was established from Didou People's Commune. In August 1983, the community was changed to a district. In March 1987, the district was abolished and a town was established. As of June 2020, Weizheng Town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 8 administrative villages. The People's Government of Weizheng Town is located at No. 2 Zhenxing Road, Weizheng Town, Sihui City.

Historical evolution
In the first year of Longqing in the Ming Dynasty (1567), people with the surnames Huang, Luo, Xu, and Hu set up a market to trade in Huangdongkeng Echou, which was called Eyong Market.
In the second year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1797), it was renamed Longqing City.
During the Guangxu period (1871), Weizheng Shop was established.
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Weizheng Township was established and belonged to the second district.

At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Weizheng Township was established and belonged to the Second District of Sihui County.
In May 1952, it was divided into Weizheng, Nanzhou and Huangdong Townships and belonged to the Eleventh District of Guangsi County.
In July 1954, it was renamed Baisha Township and belonged to the Second District of Sihui County again.
In January 1957, it was merged into Weizheng Township.
In September 1958, it was incorporated into the Second People's Commune (later called Didou People's Commune).
In April 1961, Weizheng People's Commune was established from Didou People's Commune.
In August 1983, the community was abolished and the district was changed.
