Historical evolution
In the 22nd year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1896), the territory of Longfu Town was divided into Longtoupu and Futianpu.
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Longshou Township and Shangfu Township were established.
In the 37th year of the Republic of China (1948), it was merged into Longfu Township.
In September 1958, it was merged into Qingtang Commune.
In March 1994, after Sihui County was changed to a city, it was divided from the original Qingtang Town and established, called Longfu Town.

Longfu Town is located in the lower reaches of Suijiang River, surrounded by hills and mountains in the east and north, and plains in the west and south. The average altitude is 38 meters. The highest point is Xincun with an altitude of 143 meters, and the lowest point is Fangaigang Village.
Climate
Longfu Town has a subtropical monsoon climate, with high temperatures throughout the year and precipitation concentrated in summer.
