Jianggu Town is affiliated to Sihui City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the north-central part of Sihui City and is connected to Xiamao Town and Didou Town from the north to the south.

The total area under its jurisdiction is 132.82 square kilometers.

As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Jianggu Town was 42,549.

After the Qin and Han dynasties, it belonged to Sihui County.

In the 13th year of Yuanjia in the Southern Song Dynasty (436), Huacheng County was established here, which was later changed to Huamu County and belonged to Suijian County.

In July of the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), Jianggu Township, which originally belonged to Guangning County, was placed under Sihui County.

In September 1958, Jianggu People's Commune (also known as the Fifth District People's Commune) was established.

In 1961, Longjiang, Jianglin and Xia Mao were separated and separate people's communes were established.

In August 1983, the community was withdrawn and restructured into districts. In March 1987, it was changed to a town.

1958 年 9 月、江谷人民公社 (第 5 区人民公社とも呼ばれる) が設立されました。
