The Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaosan Municipal Government jointly submitted the "Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaozhou (Huaiji Lenkeng Town) Economic Cooperation Zone Development Master Plan (2013-2030)" to the provincial government, which was approved by the provincial government and approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission on January 11. After review and approval, it was officially upgraded to a provincial development strategy.

This marks another significant progress in the construction of the Guangfo-Zhaoqing (Huaiji Lenkeng Town) Economic Cooperation Zone. It comprehensively solves the "birth certificate" problem of the cooperation zone and will inject strong impetus into accelerating the construction of the cooperation zone.

The relevant notice of the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission pointed out that the planning and construction of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing (Huaiji Lenkeng Town) Economic Cooperation Zone is an important step for our province to thoroughly implement the "Outline of the Reform and Development Plan for the Pearl River Delta Region", explore and innovate new models and experiences of regional cooperation, and accelerate the promotion of A major measure in the process of regional economic integration in the Pearl River Delta; it is an important step for Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaozhou to base on their own advantages, accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading, and achieve in-depth division of labor and cooperation, complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win, and coordinated development of the industries in the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaozhou economic circle. The starting point; it is an important engine for Huaiji County to accelerate the urbanization construction, develop through the interactive integration of industry and city, achieve capacity expansion and improve quality, and promote Huaiji to become the sub-center of Zhaoqing City. It is of great significance for exploring the leapfrog development of underdeveloped areas. The notice requires Guangzhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing to conscientiously organize and implement the measures.

The population of the cooperation zone has reached 160,000, the regional GDP has reached 3.9 billion yuan, and the per capita GDP has reached 24,000 yuan. The total industrial output value reached 9 billion yuan.

The construction of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing Economic Cooperation Zone meets the development needs of the three cities of Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing. The three cities will cooperate and win-win, which is expected to be integrated with Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing. It is an important expectation to develop and promote coordinated regional development, and at the third joint meeting of mayors of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaozhou Economic Circle held on March 20, 2012, the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaozhou Economic Cooperation Zone officially determined the location of Huaiji.

"[1] Guangfo-Zhao (Huaiji Lenkeng Town) Economic Cooperation Zone Development Master Plan (2013-2030)" has been upgraded to a provincial development strategy and will receive more policy support. According to the requirements of the notice, Zhaoqing City is the main body in the development and construction of the cooperation zone and must effectively strengthen the organizational leadership for the implementation of the cooperation zone’s overall plan. Relevant departments at the provincial level combine their respective functions to further strengthen support and guidance for the development and construction of the cooperation zone, provide active support in policy implementation, project layout, institutional innovation, etc., and create a good policy environment for promoting the development and construction of the new zone.

The Zhaoqing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attach great importance to the development and construction of the Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing (Huaiji Lenkeng Town) Economic Cooperation Zone and have established a cooperation zone leadership and coordination group, with Mayor Guo Feng as the group leader and Vice Mayor Zheng Jiange as the deputy group leader and Responsible for leading and coordinating the daily work of the team, and requested the Guangzhou and Foshan municipal governments to appoint a responsible comrade as deputy team leader.
