Sihui City Shatangju Industrial Park mainly takes Huangtian Town, Sihui City, Zhaoqing as the core area, covering 5 towns (streets) including Jianggu Town, Jingkou Town, Xiamao Town and Chengzhong Street, with a total area of 479.29 square kilometers. In March 2019, Sihui City’s Shatangju Industrial Park was approved to become a provincial-level modern agricultural industrial park. In 2020, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recognized Huangtian Town as a "one village, one product" professional town for citrus. In 2021, the sugar orange planting area in the industrial park will reach 1,000 acres.

Sihui is the hometown of citrus in China, with a long history of planting. Sihui Tangerine is a nationally famous and high-quality new agricultural product. Since the 1980s, the main varieties of citrus grown in Sihui have gradually transitioned from Sihui citrus and Sihui Gong tangerine to Sihui Shatang tangerine with higher economic benefits. The suitable climate environment makes the sugar orange juice produced here rich in residue, sweet and refreshing, and with a unique flavor; the superior geographical location and convenient transportation conditions make the sugar orange produced here exported to overseas and become a household name. Due to the damage caused by citrus Huanglongbing, the citrus industry in Sihui once suffered a major blow. In order to revitalize the advantageous sugar orange industry in Sihui, in recent years, Sihui City has actively guided fruit farmers to carry out orchard renovation, strengthened the prevention and control of Huanglongbing, planned and constructed the Shatang Orange Industrial Park, and strived to accelerate the revitalization and development of the Sihui Shatang Orange industry. .

Sihui City’s Shatangju Industrial Park follows the layout ideas of the entire industrial chain including production, processing, logistics, sales, R&D, brand promotion, and industrial integration to form an overall spatial layout framework of “one center and four districts”, namely Shatangju’s scientific and technological innovation and modernization. Sihui Cuitian Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. is the leading implementation entity of Sihui City Shatangju Industrial Park. The company relies on technology from scientific research units of colleges and universities such as South China Agricultural University and Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences to carry out citrus-based fruit tree horticulture planting and related technical services. Organic fertilizers and biological pesticides are used throughout the citrus planting process, without chemical fertilizers. , pesticides, and no herbicides are used. At the same time, it undertook the construction of the National Key Laboratory of Subtropical Agricultural Biological Resources Protection and Utilization Industrial Demonstration Base for Sugar Oranges and the Sihui Sugar Orange Planting Standardization Demonstration Zone of Guangdong Province.

At present, a thousand acres of Shatangjie high-standard and high-efficiency demonstration garden and a 30,000-square-meter disease-free seedling breeding and germplasm resource protection base with facilities and net sheds have been built. The facilities and equipment in the base are complete, and a water and fertilizer integrated system covering the entire base has been built. It is a smart agricultural system that can visualize and monitor soil, temperature, pests, and crop growth in real time, and is fully equipped with various agricultural machinery that can realize mechanized farming. At the same time, a sugar orange origin primary processing center has been built, a factory building and a refrigerated fresh-keeping warehouse have been built, and a sugar orange preliminary processing production line and a fully automatic packaging production line have been installed, with a daily processing capacity of 80 tons.
