Shigou Town is located in the west of Sihui City, Zhaoqing, along both sides of the Suijiang River. It is the largest town in Sihui City, with an area of 142 square kilometers and a population of 26,000.

In recent years, Shigou Town has taken the development orientation of "establishing an agricultural town, developing a strong tourism town, and revitalizing the town through e-commerce". With orchids as its core support, Shigou Town has promoted land intensification and increased investment in the orchid industry. By vigorously promoting Shigou Town's unique and superior conditions for developing the orchid industry, it has attracted orchid companies from Taiwan, the Pearl River Delta and other places to invest and develop. In 2013, Shigou Town was recognized as a "Zhaoqing Orchid Professional Town" by the Zhaoqing Municipal Science and Technology Bureau. In 2019, it was recognized as a "Provincial Orchid Professional Town" by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In 2018, it was recognized as a "Zhaoqing Orchid Professional Town" by the Guangdong Provincial Professional Town Development Promotion Association. In 2020, the orchid planting area in Shigou Town is more than 5,000 acres, and 33 million seedlings are cultivated annually. There are leading agricultural enterprises such as Zhaoqing Wanlvxing Flowers, Zhaoqing Yalanfang Agricultural Technology, Sihui Huilin Flower Co., Ltd., and Zhaoqing Meihui 62 The company has an annual output value of 450 million yuan, with a total of 230 varieties in four series: black orchids, hybrid orchids, foreign orchids and phalaenopsis orchids.

The Chengcun area of Shigou Town has undertaken the third phase construction project of Bidao Gallery in Guyi, Sihui City, named "Lanxiu Cuijing", and has been included in the subsequent construction plan of Bidao Gallery in Guyi, Sihui. The project adheres to the construction core of "one belt, two sections, and three nodes". The "one belt" creates a landscape belt along the "Orchid Show Green Path" with orchids as cultural elements; the "two sections" are the portal image section and the industrial vitality section, shaping The beautiful boulevard integrates the cultural image of the orchid industry; the "three nodes", namely the village entrance landscape point, the small square and the orchid square, integrate site resources, strive to create an image logo, and promote and carry forward the orchid culture. In 2021, Chengcun Village was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as a national rural governance demonstration village.
