From July 24 to 28, 2024, the 2024 Guangdong-Macao Famous Products Exhibition, co-organized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and the Macau Investment Promotion Bureau, was held at the Venetian Macau. 2024 coincides with the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to China. This exhibition is also the largest in history, with a total area of ​​more than 12,000 square meters and 501 booths, attracting more than 450 high-quality enterprises from Guangdong and Macau to participate in the exhibition. The venue has set up Guangdong Famous Products Exhibition Area, Macau Specialty Products Exhibition Area, "Belt and Road" Exhibition Area, Hotel Equipment and Service Exhibition Area, Smart Equipment Exhibition Area, and National Trend Exhibition Area. The 4-day exhibition attracted more than 100,000 visitors.

01  The exhibition was unprecedented, helping our city's enterprises seize opportunities and grab orders

Under the careful organization of the Zhaoqing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the scale of our city's participation in this exhibition is the largest in history. Nine companies, including Gaoyao Lunda Agriculture, Duanzhou Hotel, Deyuan Textiles, Guangdong Gan's Agriculture, Guangdong Steamed and Stewed Food, Sihui Huayu Food, Deqing Shuanghua Food, Deqing Lianfeng Food, and Mifeil, were organized to participate in the exhibition in Macau, covering multiple exhibition areas such as clothing, food, pre-prepared dishes, and household goods. It fully displays and promotes the characteristic industries, famous and high-quality foods and agricultural products of various counties (cities and districts) in our city, and helps the "Hundreds of Millions of Projects" with practical actions. In addition, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce also organized Zhaoqing Xinghu Hotel and Zhaoqing Lirui Hotel to participate in the hotel equipment and service exhibition matching session, and conducted business matching and exchanges with more than 20 exhibitors in the Greater Bay Area, using platform resources and information to promote the development of our city's hotel industry and enhance its reputation.

During the exhibition, Kong Lingju, director of the Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and relevant staff attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition and visited the participating enterprises in our city one by one to understand the business operations, negotiations and order-taking of the enterprises, and to guide and encourage the enterprises to actively use the exhibition platform to promote their brands, actively seek cooperation and expand business opportunities. The representative of the Guangdong steamed and stewed food exhibitor said: "Although it is the first time to participate in the exhibition, many catering companies came to consult about our products. Macau's tourism industry is booming, and there are many hotels and catering companies. The theme of the exhibition is highly consistent with the company's products. We hope to use the exhibition platform to display and promote the company's brand and products, further enhance the competitiveness of products, and actively expand more overseas markets." The head of Deyuan Textiles, who was also participating in the exhibition for the first time, said: "I have always been paying attention to the information of Macau exhibitions. The Guangdong-Macao Famous and Excellent Products Exhibition was organized smoothly, the exhibition guidelines were clear, and free exhibition transportation services were provided to exhibitors. The company connected with more than 20 professional buyers on site. Macau citizens were also very enthusiastic, and the on-site sales effect was ideal. The sales volume of the special sun protection clothing series reached more than 500 pieces."

02  Actively link up with business associations to give full play to the effectiveness of "exhibition to attract investment"

During his stay in Macau, in order to further promote economic and trade cooperation between Guangdong and Macau, Kong Lingju led a team to visit the Macau Catering Industry Association and actively promoted the investment environment of our city. He actively suggested that the Macau Catering Industry Association guide member companies to enter Zhaoqing and invest in the Greater Bay Area. At the same time, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on various innovative cooperation models such as further strengthening the depth of cooperation between Zhaoqing and Macau, exploring joint food festival activities and creating food streets with Macau and Portuguese characteristics. Kong Lingju said that in the future, our city will promote Zhaoqing's food and agricultural and sideline products through the brand incubation center established by the Macau Catering Industry Association in Hengqin, actively use this international window to find business opportunities for Zhaoqing enterprises, and launch products in Macau and even Portuguese-speaking countries.

On July 26, after visiting and guiding our city's enterprises to participate in the exhibition, Kong Lingju led a team to visit Zhuhai's benchmark catering company Xiyue Xiangyun (Zhuhai Dingguagua Catering Co., Ltd.) and introduced the development of our city's catering industry and the consumption environment to the company. Kong Lingju said that Zhaoqing, as a tourist city, has great potential in the catering market. Xiyue Xiangyun can visit Zhaoqing in due course to guide our city's catering companies in need to redesign their brands and optimize their management models, and jointly improve our city's consumption environment.
