Why did the Sixth Patriarch Huineng choose Sihui as a hiding place?

I answer this question with the words of a friend of mine. My friend has been to many places across China, and he has also been to Sihui.

He said that among the thousands of counties in China, Sihui is the only place that uses Western architectural style Roman columns as the main building in its landmark square. Sihui  is the most special one among the thousands of counties and cities in China.

He was referring to the Roman columns in Sihui Square. It can be said that among the thousands of counties in China, no county or city dares to adopt Western architectural styles in the government square. Sihui are ok.

There are several places in the Sihui that use Western architectural styles (Roman columns) as landmarks.

I have to admire the people of Sihui for their courage to be the first, and their cultural atmosphere is indeed open.Although Sihui is a poor place, the people here do have the courage to pursue advancement and civilization.

Therefore, it was not wrong for the Sixth Patriarch to choose Sihui as a hiding place.The open and inclusive thoughts and mentality of the people of Sihui protected the Sixth Patriarch from being hunted down for 15 years.

Because the ideology and culture here are relatively open and civilized. At least dare to use Roman columns in important landmarks. Therefore, the Sixth Patriarch hid in Sihui, and the Sixth Patriarch’s thoughts were born in Sihui. Not by chance.

Sihui is a place where there is cultural and ideological soil.

六祖慧能為什麼選擇四會作為藏身地點？

我用我一個朋友的話回答這個問題。我朋友去過全中國很多的地方，他也去過四會。

他說，全中國幾千個縣，四會是唯一的一個在地標廣場採用西方建築風格羅馬柱作為主要建築的地方。四会市是中国几千个县市里面，最特别的一个。

他指的是四會廣場的羅馬柱。可以這麼說，全中國幾千個縣，沒有一個縣市敢在政府廣場採用西方建築風格。只有四會可以。

四会有好几个地方，都是采用西方建筑风格（罗马柱）作为一个地标。

不得不佩服四会人民的敢为人先，文化风气的确开放。四会虽然是一个贫穷的地方，但是这里的人民的确有追求先进和文明的勇气。

所以，六祖選擇四會作為藏身地點，沒有錯。四会人民开放包容的思想和心态，保护了六祖15年避免了被人追杀。

因為這裡的思想文化，就是比較開放和開化。至少敢在重要的地標敢採用羅馬柱。所以，六祖藏身四會，六祖思想誕生在四會。不是偶然。

四会這個地方，有包容的文化和开化思想的土壤。
