The 2023 National Judo Points Competition·Zhaoqing Sihui Station kicked off at the Sihui City Gymnasium (Xiandongmei Gymnasium). 358 athletes from provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and sports colleges across the country will compete on three competition days (December 19- 21st) launched a fierce confrontation.

This competition is hosted by the Weightlifting Wrestling Judo Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Social Sports and Training Competition Center, Zhaoqing Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, Sihui Municipal People's Government, co-organized by the Guangdong Provincial Judo Association, and Sihui Municipal Culture, Radio and Television Operated by the Tourism and Sports Bureau and Guangdong Changmai Sports Development Co., Ltd.

On the same day, Gao Miao, leader of the Judo Guarantee Team of the Weightlifting Wrestling Judo Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, Guo Jianli, deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Competitive Sports Training Center, Xia Yanqing, deputy secretary of the party group and first-level researcher of the Zhaoqing Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and the Fourth Meeting Wu Jun, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Long Guanxin, deputy director of the Sihui Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, Xiao Yan, deputy mayor of the Sihui Municipal Government, Wen Xiaohong, vice chairman of the Sihui Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, and others attended the opening ceremony.

In recent years, Sihui City has thoroughly implemented the national strategy of national fitness, united and led the masses, deeply tapped the development potential of sports, built sports centers, various competition venues, fitness greenways and supporting facilities, and hosted many types of judo competitions across the country and the province. Championships, masters competitions, and large-scale sports events such as pastoral cycling, mountain biking, hiking, etc., promote the entry of various sports events into the four conferences, realize the comprehensive development of mass sports and competitive sports, and lay a solid foundation for building a sports city in the Greater Bay Area Base. The purpose of holding this competition is to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on building a healthy China and building a strong sports country, improve the sports event system, improve the physical quality of the people, and assist the "Hundreds and Thousands Project" specific measures. It is hoped that all participating teams will learn from each other, introduce new ones, jointly improve the level of judo, show their team style, compete with excellent styles, and compete at the best level.

First of all, I definitely want to win the championship when I participate in this competition, but I can’t just think about it, I have to do it, because my level is relatively young athletes, and everyone may be at the same level in all aspects, so give it a try!

I am honored to be invited by the Chinese Judo Association to serve as the referee for this judo points competition. The Fourth Meeting is an emerging and dynamic city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is also the hometown of Judo Olympic champion Xian Dongmei. I think the level of judo in our country is also very high. There are elites in every province. I hope that all athletes will actively prepare for the competition and strive to win gold medals for our country at the Paris Olympics.

On the same day, our city also organized school teachers and students to watch the competition. Citizens said that the national competition was held at their doorstep, and they were excited and honored to watch the judo competition up close.

In the women's -48kg, -52kg, and -57kg finals, Li Jinlan from the Guangxi team, Liu Liping from the Hunan Xiangmei team, and Zhou Jia from the Inner Mongolia team won the championship respectively. In the men's -60kg and -66kg finals, Jiangsu team Wang Yuantao and Inner Mongolia team Xiudu Riga won the championship respectively.

Tomorrow (December 20,2023) will be held on the second day of the 2023 National Judo Points Tournament·Zhaoqing Sihui Station. The competition levels are: women's -63kg and -70kg, and men's -73 and -81kg.
