On December 19,2023, the opening ceremony of the 2023 China·Sihui Jade Culture Festival and China-Myanmar Jade Industry Development Conference was held at the Lingnan Oriental Hotel in Sihui.

The event is hosted by the Embassy of Myanmar in China, the China Jewelry and Jade Jewelry Industry Association, and the Sihui Municipal People’s Government.

Organized by Zhaoqing Foreign Affairs Bureau, Zhaoqing Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, Sihui Jade Industry Development Center, and Myanmar-China Culture and Tourism Promotion Association.

It is a high-level jade cultural event in Zhaoqing in recent years.

At the opening ceremony, the China Jewelry Industry Association released the "2023 China Jadeite White Paper". The Sihui Municipal People's Government has signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Jewelry College of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Guangdong Industry and Commerce Vocational and Technical University, and signed a cooperation framework agreement with Guangdong Jewelry and Jade Trading Center Co., Ltd. The Zhaoqing Friendship Association and the Myanmar-China Friendship Association also signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation and held a medal awarding ceremony for the Myanmar National Pavilion.
