The 18th National Wushu Township Wushu Routine Competition (Open Competition) will be held in Dengfeng City, Henan Province from June 13th to 17th, 2024. The competition has a total of 5 major events and more than 80 minor events, including prescribed events, traditional events, sparring events, collective events and display events. There will be 2,046 athletes and accompanying personnel from 92 national Wushu Township delegations participating.

The largest "Wushu Corps" ever sent by Guangning arrived in Dengfeng City, Henan Province on the evening of June 13th. 37 outstanding athletes selected will compete in prescribed events, traditional events, sparring events, collective events and display events.

On June 14, all athletes were full of energy to familiarize themselves with the venue and intensify their training. Everyone actively learned and communicated, asked questions, practiced movements, and honed their skills. Loud shouts resounded throughout the competition venue. The athletes said that they would carry forward the spirit of not fearing strong opponents and fighting bravely on the field, go all out and live up to the trust, and add luster to the Guangning delegation in this National Wuxiang Competition.

On the morning of the same day, the County Sports Training Center also participated in the "Xuyuan Sheng Cup" 18th National Wushu Hometown Wushu Routine Competition (Open) Organizing Committee Meeting. The meeting reported on the preparations for this martial arts competition, explained the significance of holding this martial arts competition, read out the competition disciplines, appeal principles, etc., and wished all contestants good results.

It is reported that the Guangning team will send representatives to participate in the opening ceremony of the "Xuyuan Sheng Cup" 18th National Wushu Hometown Wushu Routine Competition (Open) held on the morning of June 15. After the opening ceremony, 14 athletes from the Guangning team will compete in four events, including men's senior, middle-aged, youth, junior and children's Pu (broad) sword, men's and women's junior groups Tai Chi sword, men's senior and middle-aged groups Nan stick, and men's youth group other single weapons - other stick techniques.
