It plans to build 4 gas-steam combined cycle heat, power and cooling cogeneration units. In this phase, 2 460MW natural gas heat and power refrigeration units will be built. Construction of the co-generation unit will start in December 2021. The project follows the construction concept of "innovation, green, and intelligence" and proposes innovative technical solutions such as air-cooled generators, hydrogen-free systems, large platform layout in the middle of the main factory building, high-level water collection mechanical ventilation cooling towers, drainage system optimization, and zero wastewater discharge. Effectively improving the power generation efficiency of the unit can provide safer and more reliable clean electric energy and thermal energy for regional economic development.

The first phase of the first phase of the project of Zhaoqing Dinghu Natural Gas Thermal Power Union project was about 3 billion yuan, and construction was officially started on December 10, 2021. As of now, the progress of the first phase of the project has been completed by 98%.
