This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the "China-Malaysia Friendship Year". From August 26 to 30, Chen Chaochang, secretary of the county party committee, led a delegation from Guangning County to visit Malaysia and participated in the signing of the Guangning-Miri friendly city, the Guangning Red Army Middle School-Miri Lianlu Middle School sister school, the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Sibu Guangning Association of Malaysia and the third friendship conference of the World Guangning Friendship (Macau) General Association, and the 122nd anniversary of the Guangdong Reclamation Field.
In Miri City, Chen Chaochang visited Xing Weiping, the Chinese Consul General in Kuching, Malaysia, and Yu Xiaoshan, the mayor of Miri, Malaysia, and had in-depth exchanges on the cooperation between the two places in economy, trade, culture, tourism, education and other aspects. Guangning County and Miri City signed an agreement to establish a friendly city, and Guangning Zhou Qijian Red Army Middle School and Lianlu Middle School in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia signed a sister school agreement. Chen Chaochang said that green is the common background of the two places, and the forestry industry and tourism industry are the greatest common denominator of the development of the two places. In the future, they will have more in-depth exchanges and cooperation in green development to promote the formation of a good situation of cultural affinity, mutual benefit and common development between the two places.
In Sibu City, the delegation visited Sibu City Chairman Ding Yonghao and attended the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Sibu Guangning Association of Malaysia and the third friendship meeting of the World Guangning Friendship (Macau) General Assembly. Since its establishment in 2016, the World Guangning Friendship (Macau) General Assembly has been committed to promoting exchanges, cooperation and development among overseas Chinese and people from all walks of life at home and abroad, and has played a bridging role in Guangning County's investment promotion and all-round integration into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and has built a platform for promoting the friendship and contact of Guangning people around the world in a wider field. Chen Chaochang hopes that the Shi Ning Association will continue to expand the functions of the platform, strengthen publicity and promotion, take the initiative to act, and become a "promoter", "promoter" and "participant" of the development of his hometown, so as to better promote the exchange and cooperation of resources, technology and talents between the two places, promote more large and good projects to settle in his hometown, and contribute to the high-quality development of various undertakings in Guangning.
In Sabah, the delegation also visited Tan Sri Jiang Haiqing, a leader of Guangning's hometown, and hoped that Guangning overseas Chinese would actively participate in the construction of their hometown Guangning and make new and greater contributions to the cooperation and exchanges between China and Malaysia in culture, education, economy, trade, tourism and other fields.

今年是中國與馬來西亞建交50週年暨「中馬友善年」。 8月26日至30日，縣委書記陳超常率廣寧縣代表團出訪馬來西亞，參加了簽訂廣寧·美里締結友好城市、廣寧紅軍中學·美里廉律中學締結姊妹學校、馬來西亞詩巫廣寧公會創會15週年暨世界廣寧聯誼（澳門）總會第三屆聯誼大會、廣東墾場122週年紀念等活動。
在美里市，陳超常拜會了中國駐馬來西亞古晉總領事邢偉平、馬來西亞美里市長俞小珊等，並就兩地在經貿、文化、旅遊、教育等方面的合作進行了深入交流。廣寧縣與美里市簽訂了建立友好城市協議，廣寧週其鑑紅軍中學與馬來西亞砂拉越美里市廉律中學簽約締結姊妹學校。陳超常表示，綠色是兩地的共同底色，林木產業與觀光業是兩地發展的最大公約數，今後將在綠色發展上作更深入的交流與合作，推動兩地形成人文相親、互利互惠、共謀發展的良好局面。
在詩巫市，代表團一行拜會了詩巫市丁永豪主席，參加了馬來西亞詩巫廣寧公會創會15週年暨世界廣寧聯誼（澳門）總會第三屆聯誼大會。世界廣寧聯誼（澳門）總會自2016年成立以來，致力於促進海內外僑胞、社會各界人士的交流、合作、發展，為廣寧縣開展招商引資、全方位融入粵港澳大灣區建設發揮了橋樑紐帶作用，搭建了在更寬廣領域推進世界廣寧人聯誼聯絡的平台。陳超常希望世寧會繼續拓展平台功能，加強宣傳推介，主動擔當作為，做家鄉發展的“推動者”“宣傳者”“參與者”，更好促進兩地資源、技術、人才方面的交流合作，推動更多的大計畫、好計畫落腳家鄉，為廣寧各項事業的高品質發展添磚加瓦。
在沙巴州，代表團一行也拜訪了廣寧鄉賢僑領丹斯里江海清先生，希望廣寧僑胞積極參與家鄉廣寧的建設，為中馬兩地在文化、教育、經貿、旅遊等合作交流作出新的更大的貢獻。
